BYOBB&P: Bring Your Own Book, Blanket and Pillow!
The first half hour will be a chance to chat, silence your phone, and find a place to sit. Then, we'll read quietly for an hour. We'll finish with a brief discussion about what we've been reading!
Participants gather to enjoy their projects and the companionship of like-minded people. Skill levels range from beginner to expert.No instructor. Limited to 20 persons.
Connect with the Community Support Coordinator at the Novi Library, Thursdays from 10am-2pm. They will work alongside you to help identify your specific needs. Their knowledgeable staff will then link you to the appropriate resources that the community has to offer. Examples of resources included but are not limited to:

Learn Tamil Language! This workshop is hosted by the Nunmaan Tamil Academy and is designed to teach children in grades K-8 how to learn Tamil. With Interactive lessons and fun activities, student will not only learn but enjoy the process!
This session is for beginner & intermediate players.
Join our NO-VI Chess Club on the 2nd Thursday of each month to participate, learn and sharpen your chess skill. No previous knowledge of chess is necessary. This program will include lectures, practice games, game analysis, and other components of chess training. Chess boards, timers, and rule books are provided (sponsored by a generous library donor).
Registration is required for each session. Ages 5 and up welcome (caregivers are expected to accompany their child to the program if under the age of 12.). If registering a student, please answer the student/caregiver-related questions.

Get involved with the Library by joining our Teen Advisory Board (TAB). All high school students are welcome (you do not need to be a Novi resident to participate). Share ideas for teen programs, discuss teen books, organize community service projects, and more. Meeting attendance will count as volunteer hours if you are registered in the library's Teen Volunteer Program (you do not need to be a registered volunteer to attend TAB). If you are passionate about teen services, the library would love to have you join TAB!
