Enjoy a fun filled evening of building, designing, and decorating your family’s own gingerbread house. All supplies will be provided. Participants must register as a family/team with a maximum of 6 people.

This session is for beginner & intermediate players.
Join our NO-VI Chess Club on the 2nd Thursday of each month to participate, learn and sharpen your chess skill. No previous knowledge of chess is necessary. This program will include lectures, practice games, game analysis, and other components of chess training. Chess boards, timers, and rule books are provided (sponsored by a generous library donor).
Registration is required for each session. Ages 5 and up welcome (caregivers are expected to accompany their child to the program if under the age of 12.). If registering a student, please answer the student/caregiver-related questions.
Interested in volunteering at this program to teach chess? Teens & adults (14+) must complete and submit a background check & volunteering application to Administration (administration@novilibrary.org) 30 days in advance of the session.
This session is for experienced players (who play chess regularly and are interested in tournament play) only. Players are encouraged to bring their own chess set.

Grades K-6th Our Tail Waggin' Reading Buddies program is an opportunity to provide a comfortable and non-judgmental space for a participant to read to a therapy dog to encourage the reading skills, confidence and love of reading.Each participant will have about 10 minutes to read to a dog. More time may be given if there are no other guests waiting. Please bring something to read with you.
